Bold Insight’s Gavin Lew talks about the relationship of UX and artificial intelligence at Intellus Worldwide Summit

June 5, 2020

Intellus Worldwide Summit is an annual conference featuring healthcare insights for global manufacturers and service providers within pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical device, and diagnostics. Bold Insight’s Managing Partner Gavin Lew will present, Your role in designing healthcare and AI products: Don’t leave it up to the programmers on June 9, 2020 at the virtual event.

In his talk, Lew will discuss the importance of incorporating user experience (UX) design and research into artificial intelligence (AI) technology. He will also offer insight about AI integration into the healthcare space and how UX plays a key role in how successful this technology will be in this industry.

“AI is being built into current health systems, but we still have time to incorporate a UX framework into the design. Let’s not sit back and let technology run. Let’s assume the code works. Our role is to design AI based on context, interaction, and trust.” commented Lew. “We can’t build it just because we can, we need to build something that works for users.”

With a deep expertise in medical device research, the Bold Insight team frequently presents at healthcare-related events and contributes to industry standards. Read our latest health news.
