Liz has 10+ years of experience in industrial design across a variety of industries including consumer goods, housewares, tech, and furniture. She thrives at the intersection of research and design, and her greatest strength is her ability to convert research insights into tangible design considerations, regardless of a product’s stage of development. She has a BFA in Industrial Design from Purdue University and a M.Sc. in Design Research from the University of Houston.

I love spiders! I’m that weird friend people send pictures of spiders to for identification!

Being surrounded by incredibly brilliant, insightful people with a myriad of backgrounds; there’s always something new to learn!

In your spare time you would absolutely do this:

I play a lot of D&D, always have a few art projects going on, and love to garden! Do you want zucchini? Please take some zucchini.

Your favorite city in the world is...and why?

Of all the cities I’ve lived, my favorite is Chicago: the food scene here is thriving, the museums are wonderful, and the parks are numerous! Makes enduring the winters almost worth it 😉

You cannot start the day without doing this:

I can’t start my day without three cats harassing me, demanding to be fed, and coffee for myself; it’s not even the caffeine, it’s the ritual of brewing!

Brennan Lee Mulligan, Jesse Thorn, Stephen Fry, and Amy Adams

Long-term personal or professional goal?

A long-term personal goal of mine is to visit every national park in the United States!

For me, a big portion of planning a vacation itinerary is what amazing food is there to eat.
