Bold Insight research behind Synolus MiniGo featured in ONdrugDelivery

ONdrugDelivery’s September 2026 issue on wearable injectors spotlighted research Bold Insight conducted with Synolus Medical. The article, Limits shattered: Ending the autoinjector and wearable injector divide, written by Dr Scott Russo, Founder and CEO of Synolus Medical, makes the case for MiniGo, a new crossover delivery platform designed to eliminate the traditional trade-offs between autoinjectors and wearable injectors.

To understand how patients would respond to the new device, Bold Insight conducted a formal preference study involving 400 current autoinjector users. The data showed that 83% of participants said they would be likely to switch from their current injection therapy to MiniGo, while 94% rated MiniGo as more convenient due to its hands-free administration. The findings reinforced the platform’s core design philosophy, that simplicity, rather than device category, can play a central role in patient confidence and acceptance.

“Our work with MiniGo is a great example of how direct patient feedback can validate a new approach to device design,” said Korey Johnson, Managing Partner at Bold Insight. “When 8 in 10 users say they’d switch from their current therapy they are more familiar with, it signals a meaningful opportunity to rethink the patient experience.”
