This month, Swiss Business School’s Center for Strategic Corporate Foresight and Sustainability (CSCFS) will host The Human Factor of AI Implementation, a conference bringing together global experts from academia, society, and industry to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping the human experience and decision-making across sectors and cultures.
Bold Insight Director Lindsey DeWitt Prat, PhD, plays a key role on the organizing committee alongside Prof. Dr. Michael Gerlich, Bob Sugden, and Partha Gopalakrishnan. Together, they have shaped a program that moves beyond hype and fear to address the questions that matter most, including how AI affects identity, language, responsibility, and human connection. DeWitt Prat previously collaborated with Gerlich, head of CSCFS, on a virtual EPIC session examining generative AI and ethnographic research earlier this year.
“Keeping the human factor at the center of AI design isn’t optional, it’s what ensures that progress remains ethical, inclusive, and meaningful,” said DeWitt Prat. “We have the opportunity to design for technology that reflects our best human values.”
Through interactive panels and participatory workshops, attendees will explore real-world examples of responsible AI design and discuss how to balance innovation with ethical considerations. The event will offer opportunities to connect across disciplines and spark dialogue about what it means to build a human-centered future.
The conference will take place November 8–9, 2025, in Baar, Switzerland. Visit the event website to learn more.
