This month, Bold Insight Director Larry Becker will present at the 10th annual UXinsight Festival, a leading international conference dedicated to the practice and profession of user experience (UX) research. The event brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders from around the globe to share ideas, methods, and strategies for making user insights more impactful. Bold Insight is returning to the festival following last year’s presentation by Director Lindsey DeWitt Prat, PhD, who spoke on how AI tools can unintentionally reinforce language barriers in UX research.
Becker’s session, From Data Provider to Chief Insights Marketer, challenges a common assumption in the research community: that a rigorous study speaks for itself. Drawing on more than twenty-five years of experience, both presenting research and receiving it as a client, he argues that even the highest-quality study loses its impact when communication falls flat.
“Research only creates change when people feel motivated to act,” said Becker. “The goal of this session is to give researchers tools they can use the very next day to help their insights travel further and land harder within their clients’ or their own organizations.”
The talk offers practical techniques for shaping research communication at every stage of a project, from the first stakeholder conversation through daily check-ins to the final readout. Becker will draw on frameworks spanning classical rhetoric and modern digital strategy to help researchers earn a seat at the strategy table.
The UXinsight Festival 2026 will take place April 20–22 in Leiden, the Netherlands. Visit the event website to learn more.
