UXalliance marks 20 years of local insight for global products

September 30, 2025

Bold Insight is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the UXalliance, the global user experience (UX) research network founded in 2005 with support by several of its employees. As the U.S. partner, Bold Insight collaborates with long-standing local teams to deliver consistent, high-quality studies that help clients make the right decisions in new markets.

Global UX research drives product success because what works in one country rarely works everywhere. Culture, language, habits, and context shape behavior, directly influencing adoption, safety, and satisfaction. With researchers on the ground, the UXalliance helps teams ask the right questions, recruit relevant participants, recognize cultural cues, and avoid costly rework so products succeed in local markets from the start.

Today, the UXalliance brings together 27 trusted partner firms across five continents and more than 50 countries, coordinating research in 100+ markets with shared methods and standards. No other UX network has sustained this level of growth and collaboration for two decades. For clients, the benefits are clear: faster planning, consistent quality, preferred pricing, and the confidence of working with teams who already know each other’s processes.

“We started as five partners in 2005. Two decades later, we work seamlessly with 27 expert teams worldwide,” said Gavin Lew, Managing Partner at Bold Insight and a founding member of the UXalliance. “That trust and familiarity mean our clients get speed, consistency, and local nuance without the learning curve. And because we meet face-to-face every year at the UXMasterclass, we strengthen those ties and solve problems quickly.”

Since 2010, the UXalliance has hosted the UXMasterclass, a global forum for UX leaders, practitioners, and local research communities. The next event will take place October 9–10, 2025, in Bengaluru, India. Bold Insight will contribute two talks: Gavin Lew on universal design research that advances accessibility (A11y), and Lindsey DeWitt Prat on closing AI gaps in UX research to move beyond hype and generate human-centered insight.

“It’s remarkable that after 20 years, many of the same faces are still at the table,” said Pamela Stoffregen-Gay, Managing Partner at Bold Insight. “That continuity is rare and underscores our shared commitment to exceeding client expectations. It comes down to trust earned over years of solving tough challenges together.”

As global markets continue to evolve, Bold Insight and the UXalliance remain committed to helping organizations design easier-to-use products that succeed worldwide.
