Your favorite city in the world is...and why?

Canmore in Alberta, Canada, which is about 20 mi / 30 km outside Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. I’ve never been as fully floored by our planet’s beauty as when I was there.

In your spare time (or if you had spare time), you would absolutely do this:

Nothing, but on purpose.

Your ultimate celebrity dinner party guest list would include:

Theodore Roosevelt, Ernest Hemingway, Thor Heyerdahl, Jane Goodall (and the Medium to lead the séance, of course).

Favorite TV show:

Alone – I love recapping episodes with my outdoorsman father. Great conversation starters, such as: Did you know you can tan an animal’s hide using its own brain?

Favorite quote:

Feel the fear and do it anyway.

Best piece of advice you’ve been given:

When you're stressed, ask yourself, "Will this matter in five years?" If not, give it less of your precious energy.

Long-term personal goal:

To see all seven continents. As I’m typing this, two more to go!

What would be your most valuable zombie apocalypse skill?

Knowing when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, when to walk away, and when to run.
